Lawful Basis and Sensitive Information

CAMBRIS-AF confirms and documents the lawful basis used for each category of personal data processing and publishes this information where appropriate.

CAMBRIS-AF does not usually request sensitive personal information through the general website unless it is genuinely necessary for a specific purpose. If a CAMBRIS-AF activity requires information treated as special category data under UK data protection law, the organisation identifies an appropriate lawful condition and provides any additional privacy information required before collecting it.

How We Share and Transfer Information

We may need to share personal information with trusted service providers who perform services on our behalf, for example hosting, email delivery, communications tools, payment processing or other operational services. We do not sell personal information.

We may also disclose information where required by law, where necessary to protect our legal rights, to prevent fraud, or to protect the safety of individuals.

Some technology or service providers used by CAMBRIS-AF process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, CAMBRIS-AF uses appropriate legal mechanisms or safeguards as required.

The CAMBRIS-AF website may contain links to websites operated by other organisations. CAMBRIS-AF is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites, and visitors should review the privacy information provided by those organisations.

How Long We Keep and Protect Information

CAMBRIS-AF will retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including any applicable legal, accounting, operational or reporting requirements.

Retention periods vary according to the type of information and the reason it is held.

CAMBRIS-AF uses appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights including access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, data portability and withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent.

Not every right applies in every circumstance. The rights available can depend on the lawful basis being relied upon and other legal requirements.
